The pre-application Public Consultation

Over 1200 people came through the doors over the 4 days of the Higher Newham Farm and Village consultation event, far exceeding our expectations. Thank you to everyone who came to see us, it was great to hear your ideas and to feel such enthusiasm for the project.

Over the course of the Public consultation 631 people completed feedback questionnaires.

Of those:

543 people said yes, they would support the project (86%)

38 people said no (6%)

And 50 people (8%) chose not to comment either way

When asked which aspect of the Higher Newham Farm and Village project they would be most likely to use 74% of people filling in questionnaires said the green space – the land to walk on and enjoy.

Our proposal is to gift 70 acres of land up at Higher Newham to the community of Truro. It would be a way to provide an accessible, wildlife rich green space for the City forever. We are delighted that so many of you say you would use it if our plans go ahead!

If you would like to leave us feedback or pass on your ideas, you can do so by filling in our quick online questionnaire.
